Ria Male joins Hockey Wales

Ria Male joins Hockey Wales

We’re pleased to announce that as of August this year, Ria Male will take on the role as Head of Development for Hockey Wales.

Joining us from Cardiff City FC Foundation, Ria leaves her role as Director of Education & Inclusion. Having worked for the Foundation for 8 years, Ria brings with her vast knowledge and invaluable experience.

Currently coaching the Welsh Masters O50’s and the Howardian Ladies, Ria herself has an extensive career in hockey; having played for Wales since age 14 and representing Team Wales in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Appointed as board member at the last AGM; Ria will be stepping down from this role at the next AGM on July 13th.

"Hockey has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, so to be given the opportunity to help shape the future of Hockey Wales is an exciting prospect. I believe that my experience as a director of a charity, securing funding and building successful partnerships along with my involvement in hockey, from grass roots through to elite athlete will provide me with a strong platform to build on the successes to date".

Please join us in congratulating Ria on her success. We look forward to working with her.
