NEWS FROM HOCKEY WALES: MAY 2010

BAHA comes to National Hockey Centre - International Squads welcome British Asians

On Sunday the 16th May, the WHU welcome the British Asians Hockey Association (BAHA) to Sophia Gardens in Cardiff for two age group matches. Our International Squads at Under 18 level will play at 1.30pm and the Under 16's at 3pm. Manjit Flora, BAHA Chairman, who has previously played against Wales in the indoor game in 1980, heads up the association and will meet with Helen Bushell, CEO of the WHU on Sunday. The BAHA's goals are 'to provide an exciting platform from which to promote and inspire as many people as possible to get a piece of the hockey action right across the country'. They also aim to create many exciting opportunities for everyone involved in Hockey, working as a team to develop players, coaches and officials to be the best they can possibly be. WHU are pleased to be part of providing that exciting platform and look forward to your support on Sunday.
