Cardiff Hockey Forum Secure Grant Funding
The Cardiff Hockey Forum has been successful in securing the Sports Council for Wales new Development Grant to launch a club- school link project across Cardiff.
The grant, worth over £4,000, will help towards equipment, coaching courses and facility hire for six weeks for all the clubs in Cardiff. Each club will be linked with either two Primary Schools or two Secondary schools, depending on the clubs gap analysis. Two taster sessions will be held at the school site followed by a further six at the clubs training venue. It is then hoped that the pupils will join the club as a junior member when the season restarts after Christmas. Meetings between the school and club will ensure that the link continues after the initial six weeks.
