Organise a Club Development Day and receive £200 towards it!
The WHU wish to invite clubs to run a "Club Development Day" this Summer or early Autumn to link up with the Beijing Olympics and the opportunities this affords hockey, especially as Sarah Thomas will be flying the flag for Wales in the GB Women's Team.
Thanks to Prudential Assurance and Sportsmatch Cymru deciding to support this initiative, the WHU are able to grant each successful applicant (club) £200 towards the costs of staging a "Development Day."
This funding can be used to pay for: Coaches, coaching resources, pitch hire, advertising / promoting the event, small items of equipment e.g. balls.
What the Development Day consists of and who it is aimed at is for each club to decide. There is a limited amount of funding available so interested clubs are advised to apply ASAP as funds will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
