EuroHockey Nations in Queens Square!

Wrexham-based volunteersWrexham-based volunteers Hannah Hughes, Rhiannon Sharples (front row), Mary Bainbridge (WHU Board Member) and Pat Sharples (President of N Wales Women) set up 'shop' next to the Tourist Information Centre in Queens Square, Wrexham on Saturday. Sporting tournament T Shirts and handing out publicity leaflets, they were making sure all the towns folk know about the EuroHockey Nations Trophy that starts on the 1 August and runs until the finals on the 8th. It is the most prestigious hockey event ever to be held in Wales. Intense competition between 8 Nations will be held at the truly transformed North Wales Hockey Stadium, Glyndwr University. It is a complete family day with plenty of sporting challenges and fun activities for all the family on offer. You will also be able to grab an aerial view of proceedings from the Big Wheel!
