NEWS FROM HOCKEY WALES: MARCH 2010

Farewell to Chris Marriott

After 12 years of service, Chris Marriott leaves the employment of Welsh Hockey today for pastures new. Chris has held a variety of positions over the years, most recently as National Development Manager for Coaching. Chris has been integral to the staffing and management teams within the organisation and we thank him for all his hard work and commitment. His achievements have included the establishment of the UK Coaching Certificate within Wales and the development and implementation of the talent ID pathway. Chris has played many other roles involving supporting our International Squads and been involved with many events and activities both domestically and international.

WHU Chair, Karen Evans said: "Chris will be sorely missed not only as an employee but as a friend of all within WHU. His contribution to WHU over his twelve year service has been immense and he has instigated many projects within Welsh Hockey that everyone is benefiting from. Chris has maintained the deference and integrity of the WHU’s vision, throughout his career, while still being open to innovative and change. We all wish you great success for the future and the very best of luck".
