International Summer of Success

Wales have stepped up in the international playing arena this summer with some great results in competition across Europe. The Under 16's Boys claimed silver in the Home Nations tournament in Scotland finishing very strongly. Head Coach, Gareth Tyler said: "This has been a triumph for our consistent approach to a performance culture throughout the programme". The Under 18 Boys picked up bronze in Vienna after winning 4 of their 5 matches in the EuroHockey Nations Trophy. They had some great results and missed out on promotion to the top flight by a whisker. To cap it all, the National Women's side also had an incredible roller coaster ride in the heat of Rome with some great performances and fight backs that saw them miss out on promotion to the top division by a golden goal to Italy in a cauldron of noise. The Under 18 and U16 girls also showed promise in their events in Madrid and Largs.
So now all eyes turn to the EuroHockey Nations for Men in Wrexham starting Saturday 1 August. Influence the outcome – be there!
