Llanfaes Primary School fought off Rougemont Primary School in a sizzling final to win the National Primary School competition on Friday 3rd July at Newtown. Hockey really was the winner as eleven primary schools from across Wales played some fantastic hockey throughout the day in the glorious sunshine!

The players had added inspiration with GB Olympian Sarah Thomas and Wales International Lee Ible on hand to sign hockey sticks and give some valuable hockey advice! Congratulations to all those involved with a special thank you to Katie Hamer, Powys Development Officer, and her team of volunteers who helped make the day a complete success!
