North Wales Workshops

Hockey Wales have now run all three North Wales club Workshops which have been well received by the clubs with 60% of North Wales clubs in attendance. The workshops had been planned in order for all clubs to be able to access one within 30 minutes travel time and were run in order to get clubs together to discuss their issues/development needs, and to open up the lines of communication between clubs themselves but also between clubs and Hockey Wales. It is hoped that in the future clubs will take responsibility of these workshops in order for them to be effective and worthwhile for all clubs involved.

A number of activities took place including a SWOT analysis by all clubs. Common areas of development were:

The next workshops will be held in January and the key focus will be to look at the development requirements and discuss ways of addressing them, plus any agenda points that clubs highlight. Clubs are encouraged to attend the next workshops as it is a key time to have your say about the way hockey should be shaped in North Wales. These workshops will form a massive part of the North Wales plan. The dates of the next workshops are as follows:

January 16th 2012: Llanfwrog Community Centre, Ruthin, 7-9

January 26th 2012: Bron Menai Guesthouse, Caernarfon, 7.30-9

January 30th 2012: Newtown Football Club, Newtown, 7-9
