Ready for the first whistle!
All aspects of this major hockey tournament are in place as Wrexham plays host to the EuroHockey Nations starting tomorrow (Saturday, 1st August) at Glyndwr University. The stadium seating, big wheel and all other aspects of the event are now in place. A final briefing at 1600 of Umpires, Officials and team managers was held by the Tournament's Director, Guido Braca, with Martin Gotheridge, EHF President in attendance. All the preparation has gone smoothly and the first whistle is blown at 10:00 for Ireland v Belarus. Jon Upton has taken over commentator duties to replace a last minute fall down. Ticket sales have been brisk but there is still an opportunity to come down and lend your support.
