Short list for Coach of the Year announced
The Welsh Hockey Union is pleased to acknowledge the dedication and hard work that their coaches throughout the country contribute. From participation and talent development up to and international squads, there are a huge number of talented and dedicated coaches. The Sports Council for Wales annually holds an award ceremony to recognise outstanding coaches in all sports across Wales. This year WHU had a difficult decision of who to nominate, eventually narrowing it down to four candidates; Zak Jones - High Performance Coach, Jamie Hooper - Young Coach Leader, Andy Gowman - Club Coach and Pam Richards - Female Coach.
We are delighted that Pam Richards, Senior Women's Coach 08/09 season, has been short-listed for the Female Coach Award. The results will be announced by the Sports Council on Thursday 12th November and we wish Pam the best of luck.
