South Wales Men – Indoor Competition Round 1
Sunday 6th December saw the new South Wales Men's Indoor competition kick off. Seven teams took part in nine matches scoring 109 goals in the process. Out of all the games, the two that stood out were a very close 9-8 encounter that saw Cardiff & UWIC pip current Welsh Indoor Champions Cardiff University and the Whitchurch v Swansea Bay match that ended 4-7 to Swansea despite the Cardiff club taking a three goal lead. The South Wales Committee would like to thank Ian Johns, Marcus Powell and John Turton who gave up their time to make a very successful day.
The final round of the competition will be held on January 10th 2010 and will see the teams competing for both a cup and shield. The top four teams will go forward to represent the South in the National Finals at the end of January.
