Wales depart for Russia
As the Wales Women make their final arrangements for travelling to Kazan for the World Cup Qualifiers, Captain Carys Hopkins made the following observations;
'We had a good weekend in final preparation for the start of the tournament on Saturday. Although we may not have got the results we would have liked against England and Scotland we have made some very positive steps forwards. We know that we face a big challenge in Japan in our first game. They will be very fast and skillful but we are prepared for that. We have played all the other competing teams in recent years. We know what to expect from them and we have every confidence and belief that we can go out and win. There is a great team spirit and everyone is really looking forward to the opportunity of playing in such a big tournament.'
