Wales name National Indoor Management Teams
Following it’s decision to re-enter the international indoor hockey scene, the WHU has completed the appointments of the coaching and management teams for the Wales Men's and Women's squads.
The men's set up mirrors that of the Wales Men's outdoor squad with Beeston’s Zak Jones leading the coaching.
For the women’s team, Phil Gooderham heads things up. Phil has vast experience in the indoor game having been involved with Cannock for a large number of years. Outdoors he is currently Women's Head Coach at University of Birmingham who were unbeaten in their division this season and as a result are heading for the play-offs for promotion to the top flight of the Slazenger National League. Phil will undoubtedly be seeking advice on the local indoor scene from Dave Roberts who led his Howardians outfit to the Welsh National Indoor title this year and will have a good handle on the Welsh based indoor hockey talent pool.
