Whitchurch Saints pick up Level 1 WHAC

Whichurch Saints turned out in force on day 3 of the EuroClubs Trophy in Cardiff to collect their Level 1 Welsh Hockey Accreditation for Clubs (WHAC). The accreditation scheme is designed to promote hockey development, particularly junior development, in Wales. Supported by Friends of Welsh Hockey, a direct benefit of accreditation is a reduced registration fee! Mike Leatt from the WHU who was on hand to present the award said: "This reflects all the hard work underway at Saints. The strength of their player development programme makes me very optimistic that the Club can push for Level 2. I set this as a Saints challenge for next season". Roger Caddick from Friends of Welsh Hockey and Dawn Mitchell from Cardiff Council, both strong supporters of the scheme, also added their congratulations at the presentation.
