Your answers will be collated, analysed and discussed by the Board of Directors which will then be followed by a report being published back to all of our members with the findings and any actions that may be put in place as a result of your feedback. Important information regarding events this weekend
National Age Group training camps and County Schoolgirls Competition
Whilst we have made every effort to run the events this weekend as planned, we feel it is appropriate to notify you that due to the recent snowfall in Wales and the surrounding areas a decision has been made to not go ahead with the planned National Age Group training camps and County Schoolgirls Competition this weekend. As we are sure you can appreciate we have players travelling long distances to attend these events and it is only fair on them that we make this decision in plenty of time. At every event our aim is to provide the best and most suitable environment for you as a player and a team to progress and develop to reach your potential. This, along with the safety of you as a player, has formed the basis of our decision not to go ahead with the planned events. Should you wish to discuss this further, for performance related issues please contact Mike Jones at mike.jones@hockeywales.org.uk, for County School Girls Competition information please contact Jane Price at jane.price@hockeywales.org.uk.

Colwyn Bay Juniors nominated for Award
Colwyn Bay Junior Hockey had been nominated for a 6th successive year in the prestigious Conwy Sports Awards night at Venue Cymru. The club, following on from its success in 2011 as Welsh Junior Hockey club of the year, was attempting to win a 4th consecutive award – something no other sports club in Conwy had ever achieved. The club has won the award for four out of the last five years and over ten times in recent history. Unfortunately it was not to be their night for 2012. The nomination underlines however the work the club does in the community and its links with schools in the area. To receive the nomination is recognition of all the hard work coaches, volunteers and parents commit to. There is hopefully always 2013!
