All attendees should note that due to the Test match taking place at the SWALEC stadium very little, if any, parking is available at Sport Wales National Centre. Athletes should therefore make alternative travelling arrangements to attend the session.

Rhys Joyce retires

Rhys Joyce has announced his retirement from International hockey. Rhys gained 103 caps for Wales, having captained the team over 40 times.

Welsh Hockey Awards – What a success!!!

The extremely successful first Awards night was held on Saturday 14th May and what a night it was. Over 120 attendees enjoyed a thoroughly entertaining and exciting evening with 12 awards being made plus the first ever Anne Ellis award presented to a very deserving Roger Harris.

Welsh U-11, U-13, U-15 & U-17 Clubs Championship Finals

After a long and eventful season, the best teams in North and South Wales met at Welshpool for the 2011 Welsh Youth Finals organised by John Taylor. In addition to the U11 and U13 mini-hockey tournaments the U15 and U17 Boys were also in action with Colwyn Bay representing North Wales and Swansea Bay representing South Wales at both age groups.

Penarth take Women's Clubs U-15 and Swansea Bay the U-18 titles

In what proved to be two close competitions, Penarth narrowly beat Gwent to take home the U-15 title with Swansea Bay overcoming close neighbours Swansea on goal difference to win the U-18 title.

South Wales Regional Academy restart dates

The South Wales Regional Academies are restarting after the Easter break. The South West Academy in Swansea restarts this week on Thursday 4th May with the South East Academy in Cardiff restarting next week on Friday 13th May.
