Can You Help Make Hockey Happen?

If you’re passionate about helping out and have a few hours to spare then volunteering might be the way for you to make a big difference.

There are a massive number of people who give up their time in order to allow others to take part in sport. Volunteers make hockey happen throughout the whole of the Hockey For Life Framework Tiers.

Volunteers are everywhere, from committee reps within clubs in Tier 1 through to our Squad managers in Tiers 4 and 5. Without these people hockey would simply grind to a halt.

There are many volunteers positions available and you don't need to be a hockey expert. Roles can include:

  • Organise groups of players
  • Run a club committee
  • Be a fundraiser
  • Be the Club Welfare Officer
  • Serve refreshments at local hockey events
  • Organise equipment and clothing
  • Manage teams
  • Coach
  • Organise schools competitions and festivals
  • Umpire
  • Be the social media champion
