WHUA Gradings & Qualifications
Level 3 Umpire Award
The Level 3 Award umpires are eligible for selection to umpire throughout the outdoor national programme (men's divisional leagues, women's national leagues) and all national tournaments and events including cups.
The WHUA Regional Associations will manage the Level 3 assessment procedure:

To have attained the requirements of level 2;

To have been watched on three separate occasions by an "appointed member" of the Association;

a) The "appointed members" must be different on at least two occasions;

To have undertaken a fitness test as defined by the WHUA Chief Coach;

To have undertaken a Rules Test on the prescribed format unless the candidate has attended a Rules Forum organised by the National WHUA in the previous two years.

To have been recommended by an "appointed member" for upgrading but only when the candidate has undertaken all the elements of the award.
b) At least one of the matches must be: - National League (for the Ladies), Wales/West Premier or North 1 and 2 or similar standard (for the Men) County Regional (North -v- South) National Cup or Plate Finals, International at U.I 6 or above inc. Mixed.
