COACHING FAQ's
What are the benefits of coaching? Coaching can provide you with some fantastic opportunities to support others in their development, learn new transferrable skills and make new friends along the way!
I am new to coaching, where do I start? It is recommended that new coaches complete the Leadership Award in Coaching or Introduction to Coaching. Following this, new coaches learn by getting out there and having a go. You can learn so much from others and we can put you in touch with great local coaches to go and see them in action. Drop us an email on info@hockeywales.org.uk and we’ll help you find somewhere to get started.
Where can I find out more information about courses and workshops available to me? Get information about our current coaching courses here: www.hockeywales.org.uk/coaching-courses If you would like to know a bit more about which course or workshop is best suited to your role then take a look at our coaching offer: www.hockeywales.org.uk/coaching-offer
How can I continue to develop my coaching away from a course and workshop? You learn through your experiences. After a session, you know what went well, what your players liked and what could be improved. Think about your session and use your reflections to make it even better next time.
