Gareth Griffiths

Gareth started playing hockey aged 5 at Beeston Hockey Club. He stayed at the club during his junior hockey years and made Premier League debut with Beeston at 15, becoming the Men's First Team captain at the age of 22. Gareth represented Great Britain at U21 and U23 level, including winning 2 Gold Medals (2018 & 2019) and 1 Silver Medal (2017) for Great Britain U21s at the Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia. New to the senior Wales Men's team, Gareth joined the squad in January 2022 and is looking forward to following in his brother David's footsteps in representing Wales on the international stage. He got his first cap for Wales in June 2022 at the 4 nations in tournament in Glasgow.
