Izzie Howell

Izzie began her hockey career at age 11, playing for Wrexham HC and then Neston HC. She joined the Welsh programme at 15 where she quickly progressed through the age groups. Whilst in her last year of school, Izzie began training with the senior team and made her first international senior debut in the midfield in the historic win against India at the Commonwealth Games.

Post games, Izzie went to study at Durham University where she played in both the National league and the BUCS Premier league. She now lives and plays in Germany for Zehlendorf Wespen HC. Internationally, Izzie has gone onto to represent the senior Welsh team in 2 Open Series tournaments, multiple test matches and the 2019 Glasgow Europeans. Alongside this, she also vice-captained the under 21 team that achieved promotion in the 2019 Turkey Europeans.
