WALES MASTERS
Masters hockey in Wales continues to go from strength to strength!
On the domestic front, the number of teams entering the Welsh Club Masters competition has steadily increased year on year. The Wales Masters have also introduced more age groups for the men and women.

Wales now has Masters squads from Over 35s to Over 65s for the Women, with plans to include an O70s squad in the foreseeable future, and from Over 35s to Over 75's for the Men. In addition, Welsh players also feature in the Alliance teams, a touring team of players from all over the World.

The Wales Masters squads regularly compete in the two major tournaments each year - Four Nations and the European or World Cups, which, in recent years, have been held in Barcelona, Valencia, Nottingham, Krefeld, Tokyo and Rotterdam. There are also various friendly tournaments taking place throughout the season all over the World.

2024 saw the inaugural World Masters Hockey Indoor World Cup take place in Nottingham (and our O60s women pick up the silver medal).

Wales Masters Hockey wholly supports the World Masters Hockey Mission statement “to inspire and support enjoyment and participation for all in Masters hockey” - A lifelong sport for all
