Joe is one of the longest serving members of the squad, making his debut in a win over Scotland in the 2008 Celtic Cup. After a three-year spell away from the sport due to injury and his continuing battle with epilepsy, the midfielder returned to the squad in 2018 for the FIH World Series. Domestically, Joe has won both Indoor and Outdoor National Titles and was named England Hockey League Player of the Year in 2017/2018 after scoring 25 goals in just 18 league games. In 2021 Joe scored with just 40 seconds remaining to beat France in the European Championships and scored a superb individual goal in the 1-1 draw with Ireland which secured Wales’ first ever World Cup Qualification in 2023.
