Sophie Robinson
Sophie started her hockey career at her local club, Newark Otters & Beavers and progressed to Beeston at 14. From there Sophie stayed at Beeston for 17 years, helping them progress through the leagues and in 2017 fulfilled her dream of getting the club to Premier League status. During her time at the club she had a spell over in the Netherlands for Schaerwejide HC, before returning to the UK and back to Beeston. In 2019, the forward moved to Buckingham Hockey Club and then Belper HC, before returnin back to Beeston. Sophie made her Senior debut back in 2007 in a Celtic Cup competition held in Wrexham. Following an 8-year spell out of the programme, Robinson returned to the squad in 2018. Sophie has played in several European tournaments and this will be her first Commonwealth Games.
